Our Therapeutic Personal Training Programme is designed specifically for you, to help alleviate pain and discomfort, and/or to help you recover from an injury.
We will work with you to develop the best group of exercises to help you improve your strength and/or mobility, and to develop a balanced posture.
We will give you a variety of exercises to do and will show you how to move properly and pain free. If you are currently seeing our massage therapist, we will work together to help you. We can also help you with technique, either for lifting or body weight movements as well as go over what exercises you should be doing based on your goals and available equipment. Our goal is to provide safe and effective exercises which are tailored to you.
During your personal training session we will start by doing an assessment to figure out why you may be experiencing pain. We will then come up with a plan on how to treat it. You will be shown multiples exercises/stretches which you should be able to complete at home (unless assistance is needed).
A program will be written out and emailed to you after each session to remind you of the work you should be doing at home. It will include exercises and stretches you should be doing along with how often to do them and how many repetitions and sets you should complete. The following list includes the types of appointments we offer. If you are not sure what you need, call us or email us anytime and we will help you.
Initial visit - Therapeutic: In this initial visit we will do a postural assessment and go over your daily activities to figure out why you’re in pain. From there we will go through a set of exercises to help strengthen any muscles that need it.
Initial Visit - Technique: This initial visit is meant to go over your current exercises and make sure you have proper form. This includes lifting and body weight movements. We can also show you how to properly do any new exercises you may want to learn. If you are experiencing pain while working out, this would be helpful for you.
Initial Visit - Strength and Fitness: In this initial visit we will show you a range of exercises based on your fitness goals and equipment you have. This initial visit is meant to assist you if you are wanting to increase your strength and are unsure where to start, how to warm up properly, and any other related questions you may have.
Follow Up - Therapeutic: We can go over your program you were given during your initial visit and change it as you improve. If you have anything new come up, we can address it during your follow up visit.
Follow Up - Technique: If you need more help with any new movements you are doing or need to be taken through the proper movements, we can go through it during a follow up visit.
Follow Up - Strength and Fitness: If you need any new exercises, have questions about your warmup or about how to perform any movements, we can go over this during a follow up visit.
15 Minute Follow Up: If you need any help with a specific movement or you just need to go over a couple things then a quick 15 minute follow up visit would be a good option.
